Experimentation

We had a science kit... you know, those chemistry sets with a zillion tubes and powders and little rocks and such? So one day we had our science lesson in the kitchen, and we carefully followed the directions in the kit. Our emphasis was on following directions, so when Jack asked if he could do one more experiment, I said okay. His experiment consisted of mixing a little of everything together in a test tube, corking it, and holding it over the bunsen burner! Needless to say, he produced rocket fuel, and the stain on the ceiling was permanent. Not even paint could cover it!
