Miscellaneous Effiongs

"Saysay is dancing around in her leotard singing, "...this is CWAZY...here my numbah....call me GABIE!!!""

"I get home tonight to everyone sleeping: 1 husband on the couch, 1 kid on the other couch, 2 kids in MY bed, and the final one in his own bed where he belongs. The medicine I carefully doled out is still sitting untouched on the counter. House is appropriately trashed. And to TOP it all off....Saysay has taken the hot cocoa mix to bed with her...in MY bed. My sheets and pillow case, and she (from HEAD TO TOE) are caked in half dried, pasty cocoa mix. On a good note: she didn't wake up while I dragged her naughty butt to the sink and washed her off. :P"

"Saysay has been obsessed with what is now "Hoka-Hawk-iss" (Pocahantas), and came running in last night to tell me, "I wan' DO dat! I wan' paint wif all da colors of da WIND!""

"We were running late this morning (surprise!) for drop off and Emmanuel was booking it into school. I saw him stop mid-dash to hold the door open for one of his classmates: a girl. What a gentleman! Made my heart happy. :D"

"I love how my daughter's sense of time is measured in "How many Charlie and Lolas?""

"We were doing our Bible study this morning, and we chose countries to pray for. Hannah wrote them down on our Family Journal Page. See if you can decipher: Maxicko New Jrz Zibobwa Nigerea SO CUTE!!! I love watching her spell."

"Sarah just told me (on the way to time out...) "I'm promise I'm sorry!""

Saysay keeps getting into the presents under the tree (even after repeated reprimands.) So finally I knelt down in front of her and said, "Look at my eyes. You can't touch these presents. Tomorrow, when you wake up, you can have your gifts. But for today, you may NOT touch them."

She looked at me for a minute, then cupped my face in both her little hands and in a sweet, soft little voice, said, "Mom. I unner-stan' what you sayin'." *melt*
